***2025-26 Hunting Permits sales will begin on 15 AUGUST 2025***
**2025-26 Season Annual Guide and Regulations**

2025-26 Important Changes
- Training Area 118 will only be open when TA 41 is open, as access to 118 is through TA 41.
- TA 70A will be merged to TA 70.
- Hunters may NOT check in for an activity for which the hunter has met the annual bag limit for the installation.
- Hunters may NOT hunt within 300 meters of Clear Creek Lake and Airfield Lake.
- The requirement to wear safety orange does not apply to Airfield Lake, Clear Creek Lake, and all cantonment area bodies of water.
- All equipment associated with feeders must be removed by January 31.
- To report tracking of game after 2000 hrs, call the DES police desk at 254-287-4001 and request a call from a Game Warden.
- Permits will still have the “Fort Cavazos” name, however the permits are still valid for any recreation on Fort Hood.
Reminders
- No recreation (including fishing) between the 2200 and 0400 hours daily. Latest check out time for all recreators is 2159 (some activities require earlier check-out).
- Use of game/hunting/trail cameras is still prohibited on the installation.
